We have rented a car for our trip and we have some concerns. Let me just first say that we do have International Driver's Permits. However, we don't know what side of the road to drive on. Nor do we know which side of the car the steering wheel is on. So I did some research on the internet... This picture shows that cars apparently drive on the same side of the road as in the US.
Unless, maybe this car is turned around and just parked, in which case, I am wrong. This next picture shows the same car-on-the-right-side orientation and that the steering wheel is on the same side of the car.
Unless this picture is not actually from Iceland, like it was described... Yikes! We did get a car with a manual transmission, not an automatic. And we only taught ourselves how to drive stick within the last year. We bought a convertible, not knowing how to drive it. We watched a few YouTube videos and then practiced going up and down our street a few times. So we figure that we are good to go! Driving overseas will be a challenge in and of itself.
